Source List Help
Follow the steps below to complete this screen.
Specify whether selected sources (vocabularies) will be included or excluded from your subset by selecting one of the two radio buttons.
- Select sources by clicking anywhere in the sources row. Sources that have already been selected will be highlighted in blue, and reflect the default subset selected earlier. [Control] mouse click to add another source to the selection, or to deselect a source. Mistakes can be corrected with the Undo option located on the Edit Menu (keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Z).
Sources listed with an asterisk (*) in the first column have been updated or are new to this version of the UMLS.
The source list may be sorted by clicking on any of the headings (*, Full Source Name, Source Abbreviation, Source Family, Language, Level, and Concepts).
Note: By default all sources with a Restriction Level greater than zero have been preselected for exclusion.
Advanced Source List Options are accessible through the Options Menu at the top of the screen:
To select options, click inside the checkbox 
in front of each option.
This option is checked by default. When checked, selecting a source for removal will cause a prompt with a list of all other sources sharing the same source family to appear. Users will be given the option to select these sources as well. Follow the same process to deselect a source.
This option is checked by default. When checked, selecting or deselecting a source listed in the first column will cause a prompt with a list of dependent sources to appear. Users will be given the option to select or deselect these dependent sources as well.
- Edit the Dependent Source Associations, using the Manage Associations box. Users can add or delete rows, as well as clear the entire table. To sort the table click on the column headers (reverse sort the table by [Shift] while clicking on the table header).
Source List behavior is affected by the MetamorphoSys Options. This menu is accessible through the Options Menu at the top of the screen.
There is only one option on the MetamorphoSys Options menu:
Auto Select Related Items - If this check box is selected the (de)selection of related sources will be automatic. (Users who select this box will not receive a prompt before related sources are selected or deselected.)
This completes the options for this tab. Users may proceed to the other Options tabs in any order by clicking on the tabs across the top of the screen or by clicking 
on the File bar and selecting
