Output Options Help
Follow the steps below to complete this screen.
- Select Output Format
- Click
to display output file format options:
- Select the format you prefer by clicking or using the arrow keys. The selected format will be highlighted in blue.
- Click
- Enter Subset Folder location.
Type the location of the directory in this input box, or use
to select the folder.
- To select other options, click inside the checkbox
in front of each option.
Select this checkbox to write an Oracle load script that will load the subset into the local application.
Select this checkbox to write a MySQL load script that will load the subset into the local application.

Select this checkbox to include more detailed versioned source abbreviations, for example, MSH2004_2003_12_12, instead of shorter versionless source abbreviations, for example, MSH, in the local application. For a list of all sources in the current Metathesaurus including their versioned and versionless abbreviations see the UMLS Release Document, Appendix B.4.

Select this checkbox to truncate long fields up to 4000 characters. Enter a number in the input box to change the amount of characters.

Select this checkbox to remove all records containing extended UTF-8 characters.

Select this checkbox to retain MTH atoms ONLY when they overlap with atoms from other sources in your subset.
Select this checkbox to calculate an MD5 value for the subset. These values are in quality assurance by the UMLS team. Typically users will not select this option.
Select this checkbox to append a Beginning-Of-file Marker (BOM) that indicates to programs that the file about to be read is encoded as UTF-8.

Select this checkbox to create index files used by the RRF browser to look up data.

on the File bar and selecting
