A new poll shows me ahead of 10 other Presidential candidates...but the DNC could still try to push me off the debate stage in July.

The situation is complicated, so bear with me and I’ll explain what's happening.

1. I got into this race just over a month ago. That's relatively late compared to other 2020 candidates. But there's an important reason why: as the Governor of Montana, I had a job to do. The Montana legislature was in session, which only happens every two years. I did my job. I stayed at work. And I secured Medicaid expansion for nearly 100,000 Montanans. This program will save lives.

2. Because I announced my campaign later than everyone else, fewer people know about my progressive record. I may not have had as much time to go on TV or raise money, but I don't regret it for a second. Choosing between campaigning for 100,000 donors and securing healthcare for 100,000 people is the easiest decision I've ever made.

3. The DNC announced at the last minute that they won’t count one of the three polls that qualified me for the first debate, even though FiveThirtyEight, Politico and the Washington Post said I was in. So the bad news is that you won’t see me on stage next week. But the good news is we’ve qualified through polling for the second debate in July!

4. Unfortunately, the DNC could still limit how many candidates are on stage and force us out… again. There are still more than 200 days until the first primary voter casts a ballot, but I can’t help but feel like the scales are being tipped against us.

I never thought running for President would be easy. I've never had anything handed to me. So I'm fighting my heart out to secure a spot on that debate stage. It's important, because I'm the only Democratic Presidential Candidate to win a Trump State. I've got the best chance to beat Trump and win back places like Wisconsin, Michigan and Iowa.
