Yesterday, Donald Trump said he’d gladly accept foreign help if they offered him information on his opponent.

This is a clear attack on our democracy -- and a sign of where Trump’s true loyalties lie.

If he’s telling foreign countries to dig up dirt on political opponents, it’s no wonder he’s also making it easier to flood our elections with dark and foreign money.

Last year, Trump created a dark money loophole that could allow foreign entities to dump money into our elections… with no oversight at all of who or where the money comes from.

Governor Bullock filed a lawsuit to get rid of the Trump Loophole. And whether it’s foreign money or foreign interference, we must protect our elections from outside influence.

Our nation is founded on the basic idea that every American’s voice matters.

Yet too often, it’s those who can cut the biggest checks who wield the greatest influence.

If Donald Trump had his way, foreign governments like Russia could flood our elections with outside money to support Trump and his backward agenda.

If we’re going to make progress on any of the issues facing our country -- healthcare, climate change, ensuring everyone has a fair shot at success-- we need to eliminate the influence of dark money and protect our democracy from foreign interference.
