This morning, we found out that the DNC changed the debate rules. Governor Steve Bullock -- the only Democratic candidate who’s won a Trump state -- could be blocked from participating.

And the public response has been clear: Steve Bullock belongs on the debate stage!

We just got some extremely troubling news:

The DNC just unmasked a debate rule which could block one candidate from taking the debate stage: Governor Steve Bullock.

Early this morning, the DNC publicly declared one of our three qualifying polls does not count. Unless something changes in the next 6 days, the DNC will block the only candidate in the race who’s won a Trump state from the debate.

We need to do everything we can to get to 65,000 donors. So I’m asking you: Will you rush just $1 to help Steve Bullock?

We knew when we launched our campaign that making the first debate would be a challenge.

Governor Bullock was one of the last candidates to announce. And there’s a good reason why:

He is the sitting Governor of a red state with a nearly 60% Republican legislature. It meets for just 90 days once every two years.

Governor Bullock spent January through May expanding Medicaid, freezing college tuition, banning foreign money from state elections, and protecting a woman’s right to make her own healthcare decisions.

At every opportunity, Governor Bullock will choose to improve the lives of everyday people over appeasing a handful of Washington insiders.

But we’ve proven we have the support to participate in the first debate time and time again.

If Democrats want to win back the places we lost like Michigan and Wisconsin, the DNC shouldn’t bar the only Democrat who has won a Trump state. If Democrats want to win back middle America and not leave out the voice of rural voters, the DNC can’t just focus on patches of deep blue.
