Today is the first day of Pride Month, and we’re celebrating just how far our country has come in the fight for LGBTQ+ equality.

That progress was hard won, but look, the fight is far from over.

Just last week, Donald Trump proposed ripping away the healthcare of transgender individuals. And it’s no surprise: he and Mike Pence have attacked the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals since the day they took office.

❌ Removed affirmation of LGBTQ+ rights from his website on his first day in office.
❌ Preparing to block LGBTQ+ couples from having equal adoption rights
❌ Proposed actually allowing doctors and medical professionals to DENY care to LGBTQ+ individuals.

Pride is a celebration that every American has the right to be who they are -- but it’s also a protest.

And as long as Donald Trump is in the White House, we have to rise up, speak out, and fight back every day against attacks on LGBTQ+ Americans.

This month, we’ll be thinking of the folks that came before us to ensure every American has the rights they do today -- and we’ll be fighting every day to protect those rights from Donald Trump’s White House.
