Friend, what an embarrassment last night was.
Donald Trump officially launched his re-election campaign on a message of hate, divisiveness, and xenophobia.
It was the latest clear reminder of why I decided to run for president: because the American people deserve so, so much better than the vision Trump is offering. We deserve a president who is brave, who will fight for progressive policies to take us forward, not back.
I know I can defeat Trump. But I can’t do it alone. Donate to my campaign for president and show you, too, believe we deserve better than the hatred and propaganda we saw last night.
Trump ran through some of his most offensive talking points last night:
He used racist, divisive language to engage in fear-mongering about immigration and our borders.
He spread dangerous propaganda about abortion care and called on Republicans in Congress to pass more abortion restrictions.
He bragged about weakening the Affordable Care Act, and opposes Medicare for All.
He railed against the so-called “fake news.” He rambled about the 2016 election and called the Mueller report a “witch hunt.” He defended Brett Kavanaugh.
Enough is enough. We deserve so much better than four more years of this.
