We’re just over a week away from the crucial FEC fundraising deadline, and right now, it looks like we’re behind where we need to be to reach our fundraising goal before the deadline.

Our campaign isn’t taking a dime from corporate PACs or federal lobbyists. Instead, we’re building this campaign with people, one grassroots contribution at a time.

Grassroots donations power everything we do: from keeping Kamala on the campaign trail meeting directly with voters (she’s in South Carolina this weekend) to building our grassroots organization on the ground.

After the FEC deadline, we’ll have to take a hard look at the budget. And if we come up short, we’ll need to look for places to cut back.

That’s not something we can afford to do at this moment in the race.
