I’m minutes away from taking the stage for my Fox News town hall.

Truthfully, I’m excited to bring our message to an audience that doesn’t normally get to hear it.

But unless I meet the 130,000-donor threshold, I won’t get to share it with the rest of the country at the next Democratic debates.

I know some folks watching tonight won’t agree with everything I have to say.

Others will say finding common ground is impossible.

But not that long ago, a kid from an immigrant family who was raised on the West Side of San Antonio running for President might have seemed impossible, too.

My entire life has been defeating one impossible hurdle after another -- tonight will be no different.

And I hope you’ll allow me the opportunity to share my story with the rest of the country.

I’ll ask one last time before I take the stage: Will you be one of the 130,000 donors I need to qualify for the next debates?

No one like Julián Castro has ever been in the Oval Office. His grandmother immigrated here from Mexico when she was just 7 years old. She never got past the 4th grade, but she provided for her family by working as a maid and a housekeeper.

Now, her grandson is running for President of the United States. Against all odds, grassroots Democrats like YOU helped him qualify for the first debates and send him to the front of the pack of Democratic candidates.

We know we send you a lot of emails, but that’s because we’re relying on grassroots supporters to overcome our next big challenge:

Julián must reach 130,000 donors this summer to secure his spot on the Democratic debate stage.

Julián hasn’t qualified yet, and he’s not taking a cent of corporate PAC money. Will you help him get there?
