It wasn't that long ago that I thought I'd never have the right to get married.

It wasn’t that long ago that I thought I’d never have the right to get married.

So when Joe Biden came out in support of same-sex marriage, it was a big deal for me. I remember my mom calling me in excitement because she had hope there would soon be a world where her son would have the right to marry the one he loved.

Now I’m excited to celebrate Pride month with the ones I love without fear. And I’m so proud to work for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign.

In so many cities across the country, folks will be showing their pride by attending and marching in parades -- many even this weekend! I for one cannot wait to get out there and celebrate love, acceptance, and unity at World Pride this year in New York.
