Friend --
Our efforts are
working, but we need your help to keep growing. We
need you to donate $20 to post a big number for May so Andrew can meet
his goal by the end of June.
More and more members of the media are
catching on to the movement we are building. Our New York rally drew
reporters from outlets including Fox, CNN, and ABC.
Politico, one of the biggest publications in politics,
just published a major profile on Andrew, asking, “Is Andrew Yang for
real?” Some highlights from the article:
Yang’s candidacy
has a lot in common with . . . Donald Trump on the right and Bernie
Sanders on the left.
He is offering
what may be the single most specific diagnosis of the problem at the
heart of the American economy.
He can talk in
vivid detail about specific, scary, looming problems.
He comes across
as a problem solver.
The reporter followed the campaign in
South Carolina, where Andrew was polling at 2% ahead of his first trip
to the state. That polling didn't reflect the large crowds and
enthusiasm that greeted Andrew throughout his tour. As one local
politician who attended an event told Andrew, "I expected about 10
people to show up, this is unbelievable!"

Even better news: Andrew's favorability
is up in Iowa, according to a recent poll by Change Research of likely
Iowa caucus-goers. We still have a long way to go, but in order to get
there, we have to show that we can compete with the politicians who
represent the old guard.
Last year, this campaign was considered a
'longer than longshot' campaign. But just like the profile in
Politico says, Andrew is offering the single most specific diagnosis
of the problem at the heart of the American economy and, unlike many
of the other candidates running, he has real solutions and not just
great taglines and platitudes.
These solutions are what will catch the
imagination of the American people, driving Andrew's polling numbers
to the double digits before he surges to the front of the pack. We are
not there yet, but our path is clear, and we can't do it without
you.
We
need you to donate $20 to help push our May fundraising total up so
Andrew can hit his Q2 goal.
The numbers are up, but
there is more room to grow. We know that Andrew is the only one
talking about automation and the impact it will have on American
workers and families, but the reality is we must work even harder to
spread the message.
It's a steep
climb and we cannot do it alone. But we know that if we can
do this together, we can make Andrew the story of the DNC debates next
month. We can hit this fundraising goal and prove that the Yang Gang
is real and growing stronger every day. And we can win in Iowa and
South Carolina because you made it possible to contend.
The mainstream media
isn't going to help us make it happen. The old guard politicians are
going to see to it that Andrew's bold, new, innovative ideas are
drowned out. But we can fight back and forge our own path. That is
what the Yang Gang is all about.
Thank you,
The Yang2020 Team
